Proposed new employment development at the Temple Bar Junction of the A27 in Chichester

Heaver Commercial has submitted a planning application for a new employment development immediately north of the elevated Temple Bar Junction of the A27 in Chichester.

Heaver Commercial is a family-owned business based in Chichester, who strives to work with communities to deliver top quality sustainable buildings that facilitate lasting economic and social wellbeing. Planning permission will be sought for around 42,000 sq m of manufacturing and / or logistics warehousing, with road access onto the A285 just north of the Temple Bar Junction of the A27.

This will be a significant employment development that will:

Create more than 600 jobs, within walking distance of two new large residential developments at Tangmere and Westhampnett, which combined will provide nearly 1,600 homes.  These new homes will be linked to the site by foot and cycle ways to reduce car dependency.

Contribute £43 million a year to the local economy supporting services and amenities.

Generate over £200,000 in business rates every year for the Council to spend on local priorities.

Generate around £45,000 in community grants annually through a Social Investment Fund, to donate to local charities and community projects.
